Dallas International School educates students of all backgrounds to contribute to a dynamic world with its internationally renowned curriculum, multiple language instruction, and exposure to diverse cultural views. We prepare our students to earn the French Baccalaureate Diploma and the International Baccalaureate Diploma program, both of which assure admission into virtually any university in the world.
DIS has more than 525 students in preschool through grade 12, with the high school being located on the University of Texas at Dallas campus. DIS’ primary objective is to provide an excellent education based on a French-American educational structure. Starting at the age of three academic subjects are taught in French and English enabling children to achieve fluency in both languages. Spanish instruction is the third language taught at all grade levels and Chinese becomes a language choice at the 6th grade level. At the 9th grade level students choose between continuing their education taught in the French language, which leads ultimately to the French Baccalaureate Diploma, or starting the English high school section, where classes are taught in English, leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma. At the 9th grade level, DIS is able to accept outside students into the International Baccalaureate high school section.
Our teachers are native speakers of their respective language. DIS accepts students regardless of race, religion, gender or nationality. Students receive a unique experience and understanding of cultural differences through the intermingling of the 25 different nationalities represented by the student population at DIS.
