Blue Wave Wins 10th Straight Title

After trailing Frisco by three points, 195-192, heading into the final event of the Class 4A state meet, the Highland Park girls won the 400-yard freestyle relay to claim their record 10th consecutive state title, the longest streak of titles in UIL history.
Senior Allison Arnold won both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle for the fourth straight year. The Stanford signee also holds the 4A state records in both events.

Congrats to the ladies. I want to add one other comment. I would bet if the football team had won 10 state championships (much less consecutive) we would be building a new stadium. Same for basketball or baseball. Yet the pool these ladies train in is pretty pathetic. Can we at least get an upgrade?
