Monday in University Park
Monday in University Park leads to some super obsessive thoughts and stands squarely between myself and a finished column. Help. Me.
- Earlier today I had to interact with a guy who said “8:30 a.m. in the morning” about a bajillion times. I know that a.m. means morning. Is he stupid or does he think I’m stupid? It’s one or the other.
- There was no crossing guard in front of McCulloch Intermediate today. And since it was raining, it was particularly slow and painful. Can we get someone to be in charge of this? Other than me.
- OK, I get it. Some men find it necessary to spit a whole lot. But why do they open their car door to do it? Something wrong with the window? Or waiting til you get out of University Park?

Por ejemplo: “I’ll be at work TONIGHT until 8pm.”
HELLO em-effer? Redundant much? Ok, I’m calm.
P.S. I only spit east of central, by rule.
These people also tend to say things like “let’s interface about that at our next meeting,” or “wasn’t it wonderful our children were able to interact!”
I think most of them work for the TSA or wish they did.
And unless you’re a steward on an airplane, don’t ask someone if they’d like a “beverage,” for God’s sake. Offer them a drink!
