Eatzi’s Opens on Lovers Today

The ribbon on the new Eatzi’s at 5600 W. Lovers Lane will be cut at 10 a.m. today. Phil Romano (pictured) and partners Jerry Meyer and Stuart Fitts will be on hand to welcome customers. Regular hours (7 a.m. to 10 p.m.) begin Saturday.

I’d be even more thrilled if Romano agreed not to blare the opera. I carry a pair of earplugs in my purse at all times, just so I can avoid the sensory assault when I stop by there for a baguette.
