Young Dazzling in Return

Pitching for the first time since he had surgery last summer, former Scot Chris Young was nearly perfect against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In six innings of work, Young gave up just one hit. He also had five strikeouts and three walks to lead San Diego to a 6-3 victory.

Former Scot Clayton Kershaw starts tonight against Pittsburgh.

    I do love reading about our alumni, but we have some fantastic kids coaches managers and trainers working very hard long hours to produce some fine baseball. How about giving them some credit, too?

    I have to say the parents arent too shabby either – a fine group to associate with. Do we need a scandal or parking problem to get reporting?
