If you want fresh ideas and new blood injected into the “good ole’ boy” network, perhaps you shouldn’t demean those who are interested in giving it a shot. One of the best ways to get involved and really learn what goes on at the City is by joining a committee and giving of your time to maybe make a difference. Way to go, Merritt.

Merritt, It’s clear that you care about our city by bringing legitimate problems to light, such as the need for more crossing guards or better organisation of school drop off zones. Why not apply for the Public Safety Advisory committee where you would be able to effect some real change? If you did, you wouldn’t find any so called “good ole boys” sitting next to you, just concerned citizens like yourself who want to make a difference.

    Max,

Merritt’s specialty is tossing hand grenades into the foxholes of the “good ole boys”. I’d rather she continued to do that then get into the foxholes with them.
