Disaster Unfolding on 4500 Block of Lovers Lane

Posted on May 1st, 2010 by Merritt Patterson | Filed under Blog, Business, University Park

This is the scene that is unfolding on the north side of Lovers Lane just east of Dallas North Tollway. An Overheardian reports that it looked as if “the facade of a building collapsed with 3 or 4 stores worth of debris covering several vehicles.”

Chief Gary Adams of the UPPD responded with this informtion.

The sidewalk awning fell and landed on some cars. No one injured.

Please alert me when an all-caps email goes out from a “survivor”. Bonus points if they include a Haiti reference.

“Disaster” is a bit overstated, don’t ya think?

Agreed – a bit too sensational a headline, don’t you think? Certainly glad no one was injured but “incident” seems much more appropriate.
