Coaches Rank Scots No. 9 in 4A

The bible of football in Texas hit the newsstands today. Dave Campbell’s Texas Football officially released its 2010 edition, signifying the beginning of the countdown to football fans from Amarillo to Zavalla.

In the Class 4A coaches’ poll, Highland Park is ranked No. 9 in Class 4A. Lake Travis is ranked No. 1, followed by Aledo, Brenham, Stephenville, Angleton, Denton Ryan, Kerville Tivy, and Tyler John Tyler.

The publication picks the Scots, who have finished 11-2 each of the last two seasons, to win District 10-4A. Highland Park returns just four starters (two on offense, two on defense) from last year’s squad.

The Scots open the regular season against Everman in the Tom Landry Classic on Aug. 28 at SMU.
