Park Cities Washateria

It’s been awhile since we’ve discussed rules about how far out of the Park Cities a business can be and still use “Park Cities” in the name. We never came to a super clear version for the rule book but I think we’re a little closer today. Let’s just say Garland is too far.

    Ridiculous! On the flip side whenever I call someone to come to my house for any kind of bid I NEVER EVER mention Highland Park. I live in Dallas, close to downtown : )

    Yes, I just love how people jack up the price when they hear where you live. aka “The Park Cities surcharge”. The same service in Garland or Mesquite or Dallas is suddenly way higher when they find out my address. What difference does it make where I live? In actuality, it should be cheaper to come to my house since I’m so centrally located ;)

    I also never mention HP when I first meet someone, I just say, “near SMU.”
