At my Birkenstock mom’s insistence, we tried Pinkberry up at Royal and Preston — specifically, the chocolate and pomegranate flavors. Ick. Not to mention the unsanitary pebble floors full of kid-spill soak-it-up crevices. Seems like a California fad that will die fast here.

Starbuck’s @ Greenville and Caruth Haven is closer. Speaking from experience, you gotta sell a lot of frozen yogurt to stay in business. Plaza Health Foods was part of the original frozen yogurt boom in the 70′s. We survived the first bust and business is better than ever during this current second wave, but the balloon will burst again. All I can say is, go try the rest, then come to my place to have the best! FREE YOGURT FOR THOSE WHO MENTION THE BLOG!

… and there actually isn’t a Starbuck’s on upper Greenville any more! As far as I can tell, you have to go west all the way to Preston Center for a fix.
