Your HPHS Belles

The Belles in action, Saturday night.  Oh, I think there was a football game, too.

Why don’t the Belles do their routines with the band playing the music, like all the other schools?

It’s a long story but, at present, the style is to perform to really fast, techno-pop music. It’s too fast for a marching band to play.

At Friday’s pep rally, they danced to a cadence played by the drumline.

Can they do something about the sound quality of their music? It sounds like a really bad recording!

That music takes me back to those nights of drinking orange juice and chewing straws.

The Belles dance to music not played by the band so they will actually be entertaining to watch.

Well I still say they need to upgrade their recording!!

Do the cheerleaders do anything at the games anymore? When I was in school, they cheered during the games and at half time. I have been to several basketball games and the last football game and have yet to see them do much. Text, wave to friends and chew gum was what I saw at basketball. They did do something on the court at the half. Very little formal cheers, chants or little dances. I know they are great cheerleaders. Not at all trying to slight them. Just wondering if I am missing something. Probably not cool to do chants, cheers and stunts anymore.

And the Belles were amazing. Impressive. I can see why all the little girls want to be Belles!
