I’m Feelin’ So Fly Like a G6

On the way to school this morning my 9 year old daughter was singing the lead on this tune, her 7 year old brother had back up. It went like this.

Daughter: Poppin bottles in the ice, like a blizzard. When we drink we do it right gettin slizzard.

Son: Girl I keep it gangsta, poppin bottles at the crib…

Now I’m feelin’ so fly like a G6. So I apologize in advance if my school finance column reads like a rap song, but I’ll admit I’m trying to work this line in: Sippin sizzurp in my ride, in my ride, like three 6.

Feeling totally G6 now but you don’t know what it means? I didn’t either.

That will be tough unless school administrators find themselves drinking codeine cough syrup and listening to Memphis rap.

Maybe a note from Lil Wayne, “paper tall as a tower,
I’m paid (lady of the night/garden tool), I could change your life all in a hour.”
