Lauren Davis & Chris Sears

Lauren Allison Davis and Christopher Weichsel Sears exchanged wedding vows Oct. 9 at The Grove at Silverado Resort, Napa Valley, Calif. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. James F. Jackson Jr., of Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wesley Davis of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert George Montgomery and the late Mr. Montgomery of Houston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wesley Davis of Dallas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Russell Sears Jr. of University Park. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sears and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hauter Spitler of Dallas.

The bride chose an exquisite gown designed by Monique Lhuillier. It was fashioned of ivory re-embroidered Chantilly lace, Alençon lace, and illusion tulle. The strapless gown featured a split neckline that flowed into a full A-line skirt adorned with an asymmetrical peplum at the hip. The bride accented her waist with an ivory Chantilly lace bow belt. To complement her gown, the bride wore an ivory illusion chapel-length veil, trimmed in Alençon lace, which flowed beyond her gown’s train.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending as maid of honor was Emily Kathryn Suttles of Austin. Bridesmaids included Casey Brown Charles of Houston, Elizabeth Williams Crawley of Houston, Yabiz Sedghi Davis of New Orleans, MaryAnn Deeds Davis of Houston, Monica Sylvia Dembski of New York City, Lauran Elaine Driver of Austin, Maggie Mae Kaatz of New York City, Kelle Reed Knight of New York City, Caroline Richardson Le Feuvre of Palo Alto, Calif., Summer Leigh Present of Austin, and Murphey Harmon Sears of Dallas.

The best man was Jeffrey Stephenson Sears, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Brooks Reynolds Bennett of Denver, William Ira Bowman of Dallas, Ryan Alexander Conway of Philadelphia, Jeffrey James Hustis of Menlo Park, Calif., Walter Joe Jacumin Jr. of Charleston, S.C., Timothy Matthew Johnston of Dallas, Timothy Edward McNulty of Louisville, Ky., John William Ramsey of Los Angeles, and Jeffrey Rogers Smith of Charlotte, N.C.

Mrs. Jeanie Jackson Harris Jr. of Robinsonville, Miss., was groomswoman, and Austin James Conover Hustis was ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston. She received her bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from the University of Texas in Austin, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is a senior account executive at Publicis Advertising.

The groom is a graduate of Highland Park High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and received his MBA from the University of Texas. He works in the restructuring practice at Alvarez & Marsal.

Following their honeymoon to Chile and Argentina, the couple will reside in University Park.
