Allen Stands Alone

Scots head football coach Randy Allen became the school’s all-time leader in victories on Friday night after his team outlasted Pearce, 35-28, at Highlander Stadium.

The win improved the Scots to 7-0 (4-0) and moved Allen ahead of Frank Bevers in victories with No. 135. Allen took over the program in 1999 and is 135-15 since.

Scots quarterback Jake Howeth rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Highland Park is at McKinney North next Friday.

Ok….I really don’t like that picture of Allen in front of the Tom Landry statue. As if Allen is even close to the man Landry was.

Can we get over lionizing Allen. The only way he compares to Beavers is in that one number and just because he wears the same headgear as Landry putting him in a picture with his statue is silly. Should put a picture of these kids after hours trainers they grew up with in the picture.
