Snider Plaza Not So Charming?

This semi-new, neon Bank of America sign, complete with a ticker crankin’ out ads above Jack’s Burger House in Snider Plaza doesn’t seem quite quaint enough for University Park.  And it makes me wonder. If you live in a charming 1930s house but it’s within a few blocks of a sign like this, can you still call it a cottage?

No, it’s called a teardown, as any cottage in UP/HP is.
