Scots Claim Title No. 12

The Highland Park tennis team won its seventh state championship in the last eight years and 12th overall over the weekend by sweeping both Montgomery in the Class 4A state semifinals and Boerne Champion in the state finals, 10-0, at Lakeway’s World of Tennis.
It is pretty amazing how head coach Dan Holden’s team never seems to miss a beat. The Scots finished the team tennis season with a 24-0 record.
The bad news for other Class 4A teams hoping to end the reign? The Scots had just five seniors on this year’s team.
