District 10-4A Openers Today

The Highland Park baseball and softball teams will both open District 10-4A play with home games today.

The Scots (11-1) are fresh off winning the Tournament of Champions in Midland last week. In going 5-0 in that tournament, Highland Park gave up just one run and outscored its opponents, 43-1.

Highland Park will face Rockwall (6-3) at 7:30 tonight at Scotland Yard.

Meanwhile, the Lady Scots (5-11) are coming off a 1-4 weekend in the Corpus Christi Tournament. First-year head coach Meredith Townsend will lead her team into the district opener against Rockwall (6-4) at 4 this afternoon.

    Great job by Preston Edwards and the HP bats!! HP plays in the Scotland Yard Classic Thursday and Saturday at 12:30 and 3pm and Friday at 5:30pm. Catch the action!
