George Costanza Would Have Loved This

Would you pay $89 to cram 4 hours of deep sleep into an hour? Just think about the positive impact this would have had on George Costanza’s career.

I pass the new Adrift Float Spa in Preston Center several times each week. I’ve wondered what it is so I finally checked it out online.

Here’s the deal. You float in a private cabin filled with ten inches of water and 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. They say that one hour of floating in the tank is equal to 4 hours of deep sleep.

    I did this at a spa in Bermuda a few years back and got the biggest headache. I don’t sleep well with water in my ears. It also felt like I was trying to balance on a raft. I love spa treatments, but won’t be doing this one!
