    I can see the need for renovations as that’s long overdue. I assume the expansion part would not be in terms of increased seating since it never even gets close to getting filled unless Derek Rose & Memphis were here.

    The total number of seats will actually decrease slightly, as with any renovation of this type that adds luxury boxes. You watch, Gringo, this SMU team is going to be good in the next few years. So attendance won’t be a problem in the near future.

    I hope they improve….but Doherty hasn’t exactly torn it up. And he’s never had a winning conference record or finished higher than 7th in a pretty weak conference in 5 years. I do think this can be a positive recruiting tool, but will Doherty still be around when the contstruction is complete?
