Scots Draw Frisco Centennial in Bi-District

The Highland Park baseball team will take on Frisco Centennial in a one-game Class 4A bi-district playoff at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Allen High School.

The Scots (28-4) wrapped up the regular season with an 11-2 victory over McKinney on Friday night. Highland Park finished tied for first place with Rockwall-Heath in the district standings. The Scots got the No. 2 seed from the district in the playoffs as the result of a coin toss.

The Titans (18-12) finished tied for third place in District 9-4A.

When is someone going to address the socks issue in this town? The striped socks the boys wear while running with the flags during Scot’s football games are the worst, but the baseball teams are not much better.

    Sometimes traditions should be changed.

The baseball socks are great – the boys love them, so don’t see a problem? Have you been to a game? They seem to play really well in those socks!

@XT ~ The striped socks worn by the baseball team are very “traditional” . . . feel free to check out this link from Cooperstown . . . http://exhibits.baseballhalloffame.org/dressed_to_the_nines/stockings.htm
