Belles Director Named

HPISD has named Shannon Harty Carlton as the replacement for Christie Crummel who resigned as the HPHS Belles Director last month.

Carlton has some big shoes to fill and is inheriting some controversy. I hear she’s the one who can get the job done. Best of luck to Carlton and the Belles.

    Shannon and I attended Allen High School together (out of the bubble – eek!) where she showed her leadership skills even then as officer and eventual captain of the AHS drill team.

    The AHS drill team director at the time expected nothing less than absolute perfection each and every time (practice, performance, walking in a city parade, whatever), so she has learned from the best! Good luck to her and the Belles as they all make the transition.

    As a former president of the booster club at LHHS while Shannon was there, I can tell you that you are very lucky indeed to have her. She will have high expectations for your team, and she is fair.
