I had hoped it would be a closer race; Amy seemed to have more substance when questioned about the issues than her opponent.

Although the title is true I really don’t like the ring of it. Defeat stinks and we don’t have to rub it in.

I do not know Amy but I am thankful she was willing to run and represent our community.

@ Amy Titus – My dad served on our local school board in central California for 18 years. He lost his first election too. Don’t give up!

Great candidates, both of them! I am thankful that each of them care so strongly for our community, our kids and our schools.

    @ Can’t touch this

    Seriously?!? Or is that sarcasm?

There is a community league for the town of HP and a separate one for the city of UP. There is no “The Community League.” Neither community league endorsed a candidate for the Board of Trustees for HPISD in this recent election or any school board election.

    Hope you were joking.

Agreed that the tone of this post sounded a little snarky (I’m sure not intentionally). Kudos to both candidates for their willingness to serve and do right by our kids!

Congratulations to Mr. Dalton and good luck to Ms. Titus, both were worthy candidates. The good news here is that Bunten’s gone. His constant threats of lawsuits were a disaster waiting to happen for HPISD.
