1. Here’s the latest photographic evidence that the mod structure on Mockingbird is a giant middle finger to everyone living nearby.

2.  Mark Cuban pulled a true super classy last night when he had the ginormous NBA championship trophy presented to Mavs founder (and University Park rez/Kuby’s regular/best trick-or-treating host in the Park Cities) Don Carter.

3. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS AT THE U.P. POOL. Seriously, people. Just carry your trash to the bin on your way out, K?

    What, no mention of Harrison Frazar winning the FedEx St. Jude classic yesterday, for his first PGA Tour win? Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy (and family). Well done.

    No kidding on #3. Geez! And STAY OUT OF THE LAP LANE to all the kiddies. 2 weeks into the swim season and they still don’t get it.

    Don Carter’s house is trashed, too–TP wonderland this morning in celebration of the victory. The lawn guy out front trying to clean up the flowerbeds amidst the white wonderland was a nice touch.

    add this to the happy news: lukes locker is hopefully opening on mockingbird today. they were moving from oaklawn last night but i think had to stop and watch the mavs.

    My personal opinion on the house is that it is no worse than the McMansions with their over the top ornate faux castle finish outs and if I were going to build a house that faced Mockingbird, I would want it to be a fortress with no windows facing the front.

    I hope they put up some really nice graffiti on the wall that faces the crappy castle/McMansion next door.

    My guess is that neighbor isn’t too pleased – less about the style and more about the fact that their windows are now about 10 feet from sheet metal. Of course, if they hadn’t built their monstrosity right up to the lot line, they wouldn’t have that problem, would they?

    Just punishment for shoving their oversize, fake Eurotrash house into too small a lot, personally.

    The beautiful thing about this house? Look how much land is left after they finished.

    @M, it does! They have those two story double wides at Caddo, if it had a lil moss growing around the bottom it would look just like one!

    You all sound white, uncultured, homogeneous and like you need to occasionally leave the Park Cities.

    Kids won’t be delivering Sprinkles because the kids of Mockingbird horizions are larger and we cross 75. We prefer Society Bakery Cupcakes.

    Until you are ready to put a photo up of your home for the closed minded people on this blog to comment on, while hiding behind the mask of annonimity, I suggest you keep your petty comments to yourselves.

    @HPMom – I’m not sure if you misunderstood my comment: I LIKE the house, and don’t really care for the oversized McMansions that are typically built on undersized lots.

    I’m not sure how Sprinkles comes into play, though.

    If you guys want to get nit-picky about this house, how bout you suggest talking with the idiot who approved construction on it? Is it really legal to build a home out of sheet metal in the Park Cities? Direct your insight into where it can do some good. Call your building inspector or city councilman and let them know your displeasure. I generally believe that people should be able to build the house they want, but a little common sense should apply with the folks who grant permits. Good luck with any potential resale on this one folks!

    Some of you folks need some pharmaceutical help and a little anger management.

    @Eloise & Mainzer, I’m with you both. Those craptastic McMansions need some true modern architectural, straight line beauties to hide their crap fixtures, fake stained glass doors and tacky landscaping.

    It saddens me that almost all of the blog replies in the majority of this blog site are full of negative “stabs”. I guarantee that if you all were required to use your real names (first and last) you would not post 99% of what you do. I’m all for the ability to state your opinions in a public forum, but come on people – you can sugar coat it all you want, but in reality your words are meant to be hurtful. So what if you don’t like the house on your block – maybe they don’t like yours either.

    I am laughing so hard at these comments. “Craptastic” is my new favorite word along with “amazeballs” (unrelated story) I think this house is awesome and say kudos to this family who clearly thinks outside of the box. I think it is most definitely “a giant middle finger to everyone living nearby”. Nice job.
