Frazar Riding High After First PGA Victory

Back in March, former Highland Park standout Harrison Frazar wrote an article for Golf.com detailing his frustrations with never having won a tournament in his PGA career and battling injuries as he approaches 40.

What a difference a few months makes.

Frazar notched his first career win on June 12 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis. The win means he will get to play in several tournaments he’s never had the chance to play in before, such as the Masters and the World Golf Championship.

“I had forgotten about those [tournaments],” Frazar said. “If you’re on the outside long enough looking in, you kind of forget that’s the proverbial carrot dangling out there. I wasn’t thinking about those at all during the week.”

Make sure to check out my interview with Frazar in this week’s Park Cities People, which will be out tomorrow.

Great story. I think he should ride in the 4th of July parade.
