My Favorite Part of Yesterday’s Parade

Park Cities People staffers Dan Koller, Claire St. Amant, Kate Mitchell, and Bradford Pearson pass out bags, beads, and sunglasses during the Fourth of July Parade. (Staff photo by Chris McGathey)

While the absence of our dunk tank was undoubtedly the lowlight, the highlight came as I was walking the parade route, passing out bags so people had something with which to carry all of their candy/toys/loot.

A man whom I didn’t recognize pointed at me and said, “Dan, love the paper.”

Thank you, sir.

What? No pics of the Apache attack helicopter? The lift off was epic! Thanks so much to everyone that was responsible.

@M: We’ll have plenty more pictures posted soon. At the moment, we’re assembling a special section full of Fourth of July photos for this week’s paper. This particular shot was used just because it was related to my post.
