I actually enjoy getting the news that’s in the poor little thing and find the second page about what’s going on in the city interesting and helpful. I even read the ads for the grocery stores that I shop at…BUT having said that, the DMN should be more responsive if you don’t want it so I basically agree with Merritt (of whom I’m a big fan as I find your columns funny and insightful). keep up the good work….The Geez

I actually want The Briefing but cant get them to get it to me. I have called 5 times to find out why I am not getting it. I will get it every once in a while, a Wed here Fri there, but never ever consistent.

Considering that, I believe, the DMN is run and staffed by liberal tree-huggers, I find it hard to believe that they would allow such waste of natural resources. But I think we all know it is about money and telling businesses how many people see their paper. If they throw it, your family is counted as someone who sees it. and that is what they tell businesses to whom they are trying to sell advertising space.

I solved the Briefing matter by sending an email to Bob Mong at the DMN. His email address can be found in the DMN. He took care of it.

The large majority of people who get a PCP thrown on their lawns are paying for it. But we do throw unsolicited papers in certain neighborhoods for a limited amount of time, then ask those people if they’d like to pay to continue to receive it. Sort of the same business model employed by drug dealers.

For what it’s worth they give you free full access to their website in exchange for you letting them trash your yard with Briefing.

@dankoller-The Briefing is a constant piece of trash being thrown in driveways, even if you don’t want it. I believe you have to ask for PCP to be thrown in your yard, yeah?
