HPISD Gets $254,411 in Donations

HPISD’s incoming gift list always sparks our interest at monthly trustee meetings, so we figure it’s time to post it regularly online.

The latest:

  • $128,500 from the Highland Park Sports Club to support athletic programs
  • $119, 292 from La Fiesta de las Seis Banderas via the Highland Park Education Foundation, for global education and an elementary language feasibility study ($50,000 and $25,000, respectively); wheel carts at Highland Park Middle and McCulloch Intermediate schools ($32,292); computers at HPHS ($10,000); and video cameras at McCulloch and HPHS ($2,000)
  • And a $6,619 in-kind contribution of new floor mats — 66 by 42 feet, if you’re counting— for HPHS cheerleaders, from an anonymous donor
