HP Village to Launch New Holiday ‘Stroll’
It’s barely jacket weather, yes, but holiday hoopla is looming at Highland Park Village. A new event called the Gingerbread Stroll will run Tuesday through Nov. 30, with elaborate, high-end gingerbread houses — all up for auction — to be displayed at 14 different locations (Escada, Beretta Gallery, Tom Thumb, and the Village Theatre/Marquee Grill & Bar among them).
Celebrity Café & Bakery is in on it, too. Buy a gingerbread cookie there, and you’ll get a ballot to vote for your favorite little house.
The sweet part? All proceeds are going to the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center.
