Former Highland Park standout Matthew Stafford will have a shot at guiding the Detroit Lions to their first playoff berth since 1999 when the team hosts the San Diego Chargers at 3:05 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Detroit is just three seasons removed from going 0-16. In his third season, which is also his first without a major shoulder injury, Stafford has quarterbacked the team to a 9-5 record, which includes a win over the Dallas Cowboys. He has thrown for 4,145 yards with 33 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
