Local Bartenders to Rep Texas in New Orleans

I’ll admit I hadn’t heard of “Dallas’ craft cocktail movement” until seeing the term just now in a press release, but hey. Cheers.

Ten select Dallas bartenders are heading off to New Orleans in late July for a big annual to-do called Tales of the Cocktail, where they’ll put together signature recipes and lead discussions in a Texas-themed tasting room (a room aptly dubbed “Come and Get it: Cocktails Texas Style.” Not to be confused with “Come and Take it,” a la the American and Texas revolutions).

Bartenders from a couple of Park Cities and Uptown-area haunts made the list, so keep them in mind when you’re looking to grab a drink closer to home: They’re Jason Kosmas of the Marquee Grill  — I keep hearing good things about this guy — Omar Yeefoon of The People’s Last Stand, and Private Social’s Rocco Milano, who pulled the whole group together.
