If there is any injury or property damage you have to to give the others involved your name, address and registration # of the car, driver’s license and insurance. If the other person is injured in some way that they can’t give this info or fulfill the above then the other party is required to report to the police.

I looked it up as I was initially thinking that this was a sneaky way for the police to shelter one of their own from a “hit-and-run” charge by using that verbiage and charge. Now I am thinking that she either lied about her name, wouldn’t tell the other driver her information, or I was right and the arresting cop let her slide on the hit-and-run since she was going to get hit with the DWI anyways.
