Lady Scots Open District Play Friday
Highland Park’s volleyball team will look to build off of its torrid run through non-district play when it plays its first District 10-4A match of the season at 7 p.m. Friday at Carrollton Newman Smith.
The Lady Scots (21-6) have already eclipsed last year’s win total. Highland Park was 20-23 last season.
Head coach Michael Dearman said experience has been the biggest key to the drastic turnaround.
“We’ve met and exceeded all of our preseason goals we set for ourselves so far this season,” Dearman said. “We’re pretty happy about that.”
Highland Park will play host to North Forney at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
