UP City Council Working on YMCA Concerns
The saga of the Park Cities YMCA continues as University Park City Council meets tonight to continue the conversation on the PD ordinance for the new expansion.
Our newest addition, Michelle Saunders, was there when the council met Friday to work out the kinks in the ordinance. She reported that traffic flow around the Y was among the main concerns for the council with neighbors voicing their concerns that cars would divert through the neighborhood or cause accidents at Normandy and Preston.
The meeting went long, leaving a few items left to discuss and an overall feeling that they need much more extensive research to find solutions for everyone involved.
