Barns Earns Honorable Mention All-State

Highland Park senior center William Barns, an SMU commit. received honorable mention on the Associated Press’ Class 4A All-State Team, which was released earlier this week.

Barns (6-3, 270) was a captain and a member of the player committee for the Scots this past season, as Highland Park went 9-2 and won its fourth straight District 10-4A championship.

Barns was also a unanimous pick for first-team center on the All-10-4A team. His father, John, was also a star offensive lineman for Highland Park.

    Three cross country girls were named to the All-State Cross Country Team. Mary Beth Hamilton, Kate Krikorian, and Natalie Rathjen. Thought you’d like to know, Chuck.
