The city’s Cultural Affairs Commission has made it official: Fire Station No. 27, at Douglas Avenue and Northwest Highway, will be home to a huge piece of stained-glass art from Rex Kare. He tells me he can’t wait to get started on the project, which will be a bright, abstract ode to the firefighters themselves.
