• Koi and Lily Pads

  I was shooting a backyard for our upcoming Real Estate Quarterly section and was just transfixed by the light falling on these lily pads and the way it lit up the bright orange koi when they swam near the surface.  I waited for them to school close enough to the surface to show through the murky water and snapped this peaceful shot.

• All The Grit and None of the Padding

  

  My high school years were not spent at football games in the Park Cities. Instead, at Rift Valley Academy, in Kijabe Kenya they played rugby. So I was excited when I got an assignment to shoot rugby at Jesuit last week.  I felt nostalgic standing on the sidelines watching the guys form a scrum and talking about meters! The only thing missing was the smell of real grass.
