I’m so sorry to hear this. Chuck and Chris are both such talented, nice people. I sincerely hope they both can stay in the community and cover the sports and lifestyle of the Park Cities. Good luck, gentlemen.

I have known Chuck Cox for over 20 years. He is a reliable, amiable, trustworthy guy. His energy level and enthusiasm for work and life are rare in the workplace and life in general. If you are reading this and have a staff writer position open for any kind of publication in the Dallas area, Chuck is your guy.

I first met Chuck about 15 years ago when we were both working in East Texas, and later got to work with him in the sports department at the Denton Record-Chronicle. I haven’t known anyone who works harder or is a more genuine and likable person in journalism than him since that time. I concur with the comment above, Chuck is too good of a journalist to not wind up with an opportunity as good or even better, and soon.

Two great guys to work with and know. A big loss to People, but I am excited to see what the future holds for these two. Great things to come!

  • Chris, you are an excellent photographer. You have captured some incredible moments on film…the feature on the Dallas Safari Club comes to mind, as do so many of the photos in the sports section and Plaid Report! Speaking of which…

Chuck, you are the ultimate authority on all things sports for Highland Park and University Park! Your numerous awards are a testament to your skill and dedication.

It was such a pleasure to work with both of you. All the best in your future endeavors 🙂

Thanks for all of the kinds words. They are very much appreciated. I had a tremendous time covering Highland Park sports over the last five-plus school years. I’ll definitely miss seeing the Scots compete.

You will both be missed greatly. Are either of you going somewhere else that I can bother you in the comments section?
