HP Employees Sponsor Food Drive

The Highland Park Community Assisting Neighbors (HPCAN) committee, a Town of Highland Park employee initiative focused on community outreach and volunteerism, is holding a food drive to benefit the South Dallas Community Food Center.

Individuals may donate non-perishable food items or money at the HP Town Hall, the HP Library, or the Highland Park DPS Communications Center lobby through Saturday Nov. 12.

The South Dallas Community Food Center opened in 1999 to serve the South Dallas and Fair Park communities. The center provides low-income families with nutritional food, bus passes, and gas cards.

The food drive is HPCAN’s inaugural project. The committee’s goal is to identify and organize ways for Town of Highland Park employees to positively affect the lives and wellbeing of North Texas citizens.
