Search for McCullers Returns to Turtle Creek

It has been eight days, and the search for SMU officer Mark McCullers goes on.

A statement from Dallas Fire-Rescue’s PIO Jason Evans says that the efforts are returning from the Trinity River to Turtle Creek:

Day 8 of operations, in the search for missing SMU Police Officer, Mark McCullers, resumed this morning at approximately 09:00. While yesterday’s efforts were focused in the Trinity River, todays efforts have moved back to Turtle Creek.

Personnel from Dallas-Fire Rescue, the Dallas Police Department, Southern Methodist University Police Department, Highland Park Department of Public Safety, Texas and Wildlife Game Warden’s Office and Search One are combining efforts to search from Stonebridge Drive, where Officer McCullers’ car was found, to the location where he and his car were swept into the creek. Boats, from the DFR and the Game Wardens, will be in the water, with search dogs and handler in tow, with the dive team on standby in case of any hits. Volunteer SMU and HPDPS Officers will walk the banks to aid in the search as well.
