Skulduggery of the week: Sharp dressed scoundrel

Between noon on Aug. 22 and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 23, a thief entered an unlocked gray 2007 Ford pickup in the 2800 block of Rosedale Avenue and stole $15,800 worth of clothing including two Armani suits, four Brunello Cucinelli shirts, two pairs of Tom Ford jeans, three Ralph Lauren shirts, and a Hermès blazer.

HIGHLAND PARK

17 MONDAY
At 4:10 p.m., a 17-year-old shoplifter from Dallas was arrested at Whole Foods Market in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive on a theft charge.

At 9:27 p.m., Michael Bruce Thompson, 55, of Wylie was arrested in the 3400 block of St. Johns Drive on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

19 WEDNESDAY
Between 11 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 19, a thief entered an unlocked black 2015 BMW sedan in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue and stole a $300 pair of Prada sunglasses, a $50 iPod, and two credit cards. But the crook didn’t take a set of golf clubs in the trunk.

21 FRIDAY
At 1:15 p.m., Jenny Lynn Gruber, 36, of Dallas was arrested in the 4200 block of Arcady Avenue on charges of assault and resisting arrest.

At 1:20 p.m., a burglar tried to break into a house in the 4300 block of Arcady Avenue by kicking the back door. A teenager who was upstairs heard the noise, called police, and hid. A witness saw a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer pull out of the driveway with the perpetrator in the passenger seat, but officers arrived too late to catch it. The homeowner said four copper downspouts were stolen.

17 MONDAY
Between midnight and 6:45 a.m., a burglar broke into three GMC Yukons in the 4400 block of McFarlin Boulevard — including two at the same address — and stole the third-row seats, valued at $1,000 each.

Between midnight and 9:10 a.m., a thief entered an unlocked black 2007 GMC Yukon in the 4200 block of Larchmont Avenue and stole a third-row seat. The miscreant also stole two pairs of sunglasses, valued at $450, and a $200 Leatherman knife from an unlocked black 2011 Audi S6 at the same address.

18 TUESDAY
Between 8 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 18, a burglar broke into a white 2011 GMC Denali in the 4400 block of Windsor Parkway and stole a third-row seat.

19 WEDNESDAY
At 5:39 p.m., a pickpocket stole an $800 Celine wallet containing $250 in cash from the seat of a black 2015 Range Rover at the Chevron station at Preston Center while the driver was pumping gas.

Between 4 and 6:30 p.m., a thief stole a $7,500 Rolex watch from an apartment in the 3400 block of Rankin Avenue.

20 THURSDAY
Between 7:02 and 7:17 a.m., a shoplifter stole a $140 Oral-B electric toothbrush and a $40 Norelco shaver from CVS at Park Cities Plaza.

Between 2 p.m. on Aug. 19 and 2 p.m. on Aug. 20, a thief entered an unlocked red 2015 Toyota Tundra in the 2800 block of Amherst Street and stole a $650 Ruger handgun.

21 FRIDAY
At 3:58 p.m., a resident of the 4100 block of Lovers Lanereported the theft of a $3,000 hard-cover top for a black 2011 Jeep Wrangler on June 10.

22 SATURDAY
At 3:50 a.m., Ignacio Perez, 32, of Princeton was arrested in the 7000 block of Armstrong Parkway on a public intoxication charge.

Between 10:05 and 10:15 a.m., a thief entered an unlocked white 2013 Chevrolet SUV at Goar Park and stole a $200 Michael Kors wallet containing $30 in cash.

Between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m., a shoplifter stole a $450 Louis Vuitton wallet from Luxury Garage Sale at Snider Plaza.

23 SUNDAY
At 1:23 a.m., Sydney Nicole Crowder, 19, of Frisco was arrested in the 5800 block of Hillcrest Avenue on a public intoxication charge.

At 1:44 a.m., Courtney Gotts, 21, of Topsfield, Mass., was arrested in the 6500 block of Dickens Avenue on charges of public intoxication and reckless damage.

Between 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 23, a thief stole a white 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, valued at $10,000, in the 3400 block of Stanford Avenue. Also stolen from inside the vehicle were two saddles with a combined value of $1,350, and a $150 pair of Airat boots.

Between 10 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 9:31 a.m. on Aug. 23, a larcenist entered an unlocked red 2013 Ford F-150 and a gray 2013 Infiniti sedan at the same address in the 3600 block of Southwestern Boulevard. The stolen items include a $750 Gucci purse, a $500 Escort radar detector, two pairs of sunglasses with a combined value of $425, and $7 in cash.
