Skulduggery of the Week: Pallbearer Purloiners

At 2:16 p.m. on March 21, two shoplifters pretending to be looking for funeral attire stole $5,580 in jackets from Jos. A. Bank in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue.

HIGHLAND PARK

21 MONDAY
At 4:28 p.m., Bruce Wallace Mooney, 60, of Dallas was arrested in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive on the charge of theft.

22 TUESDAY
At 11:50 a.m., a thief entered a house in the 4400 block of Westway Avenue and stole $2,000 in cash.

Between 3 and 4:20 p.m., two shoplifters stole a wallet from the Christian Louboutin store in Highland Park Village.

At 4:32 p.m., two shoplifters stole a pair of Jimmy Choo sunglasses from store in Highland Park Village. Employees also reported that at 5:55 p.m. on March 12, a shoplifter stole a $415 wallet.

23 WEDNESDAY
At 3:05 a.m., Lacy Ann Givens, 26, of Dallas, was arrested in the 5100 block of Beverly Drive on a charge of violation of the open container law.

Between 8 a.m. on Feb. 24 and 1:11 p.m. on March 23, a thief stole a keypad lock and a brass master house key from a house in the 4600 block of Versailles Avenue.

24 THURSDAY
At 12:36 a.m., John David Inmon, 23, of Rockwall, was arrested in the 4300 block of Irving Avenue on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

25 FRIDAY

At 2:43 p.m., a thief threw a brick at a silver 2011 Chevrolet truck in the 4300 block of St. Johns Drive and stole a $50 Rigid toolbox containing around $185 in tools.

26 SATURDAY

At 8:43 p.m., Rodney Neil Taylor, 49, of Dallas, was arrested on Westway Avenue and Lomo Alto Drive on a charge of Public Intoxication.

27 SUNDAY

At 6 a.m., Jason Clifton Stokes, 36, of Garland, was arrested in the 4200 block of Wycliff Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and violation of the open container law.

UNIVERSITY PARK

22 TUESDAY

Between noon on March 15 and midnight on March 22, a thief entered a garage in the 2700 block of Amherst Street and stole a $15 paint sprayer, and $45 in miscellaneous property.

At 4:02 p.m., a resident of the 2900 block of Fondren Drive reported a thief stole a $10,000 Movado watch between 1 and 4 p.m. on March 15.

23 WEDNESDAY

Between 5 p.m. on March 22 and 7 a.m. on March 23, a thief stole $5,490 in miscellaneous property from a construction site in the ­­3500 block of Purdue Street.

24 THURSDAY

At 8:50 a.m., a thief stole a $2,000 white 1992 Ford E150 parked in front of a construction site in the 3800 block of Bryn Mawr Drive.

At 10:20 a.m., Ryan Bridges, 24, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4100 block of Lovers Lane on a charge of public intoxication.

25 FRIDAY

Between 10 p.m. on March 24 and 6:47 a.m. on March 25, a burglar broke into a tan 2011 GMC Yukon SUV in the 3900 block of Wentwood Drive and stole $49 in ammunition and $400 in miscellaneous property.

Between 7 p.m. on March 24 and 10:50 a.m. on March 25, a burglar broke into a black 2011 GMC SUV in the 3500 block of Colgate Avenue and stole the third-row seat.

26 SATURDAY

At 3:30 a.m., Rodolfo Lopez, 30, of Dallas, was arrested in the 6900 block of Preston Road on a charge of public intoxication.

DALLAS

22 TUESDAY

At 2:40 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from Neiman Marcus in NorthPark Center. A minor was arrested on a charge of theft. 

At 6:55 p.m., two shoplifters stole merchandise from Salvador Ferragamo in NorthPark Center. Marco Perez, 23, and Blake Alan Bearden, 19, were arrested on charges of theft.

24 THURSDAY

Between 2 and 2:20 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from Louis Vuitton in NorthPark Center. Adrienne Leticia Scherer, 52, was arrested on a charge of theft.

26 SATURDAY

At 3:35 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from Paper Source in NorthPark Center.
