Police Reports: Nov. 21-27

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: DON’T ASK DON’T TELL

At 9:42 p.m. Nov. 25, police broke up a house party in the 3600 block of Dartmouth Avenue, after the housekeeper answered the door, and issued $271 citations to ten underage partygoers, most of whom were found hiding in the laundry room, for consumption by minor and minor in possession. When the homeowner arrived, she told officers on duty she was aware that her daughter was going to have friends over but that they were told not to have alcohol present, and that she had asked the housekeeper to come check on the house periodically.

HIGHLAND PARK

21 MONDAY
At 11:20 a.m., a runner was bitten by a white dog on a leash in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive.

23 WEDNESDAY
Between 12:23 and 6 a.m., a vandal caused $2,500 in damages to a window of Intercity Investments, Inc. in the 4300 block of Westside Drive.

At 6 p.m., Francisco Santillan, 25, of Dallas, was arrested in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue on a charge of possession of marijuana.

25 FRIDAY
Between 12 p.m. Nov. 21 and 1:15 p.m. Nov. 25, a shoplifter stole two black semi-automatic 9mm pistols with ebony handles, valued at $43,995 and $44,500, from Beretta in Highland Park Village.

27 SUNDAY
Between 8 p.m. Nov. 26 and 2 p.m. Nov. 27, a burglar broke into a black 2012 GMC Yukon in the 4300 block of Arcady Avenue and stole a machete, a straight blade knife, a wood and silver “National Jamboree” Boy Scout pocket knife, pepper spray, Ray Ban sunglasses, a white iPhone 5s, and an Apple charging cord with a cigarette lighter adapter.

Between 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and 1 p.m. Nov. 27, a $70 Polaris pool sweep filter bag was stolen from the backyard of a house in the 3900 block of Miramar Avenue.

At 8:49 p.m., Jordan Collie Sherman, 26, of Azle, was arrested in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane on a charge of possession of marijuana.

UNIVERSITY PARK

21 MONDAY
Between 11 a.m. Nov. 19 and 10:20 a.m. Nov. 21, a thief stole a wallet from a black 2007 Ford Escort in the 3900 block of Northwest Parkway.

Between 8 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., a vandal broke the window of a 2011 white BMW X3, causing $200 in damage, in the parking lot of Park Cities Baptist Church in the 4200 block of University Boulevard.

22 TUESDAY
At 9:50 a.m., a thief stole two Rolex watches, valued at $5,000 and $3,000, from a house in the 3500 block of Asbury Avenue.

At 3 p.m., Dewight Williams, 25, of Dallas, was arrested in the 3800 block of University Boulevard on a charge of soliciting without a permit.

24 THURSDAY
At 4 a.m., Keaton Roddy Baker was arrested on a charge of disregarding a traffic control device. Police found marijuana in the car after conducting a traffic stop in the 5700 block of Lovers Lane.

At 7 a.m., Ahiakwo Onyinyechukwu, 29, of Addison, was arrested in the 4100 block of San Carlos Drive on a charge of public intoxication.

Between 8 a.m. Nov. 23 and 8 a.m. Nov. 24, a thief stole three Matthew Trent rings valued at a total of $6,000 from the closet of a house in the 4000 block of Centenary Drive.

25 FRIDAY
Between 3 p.m. Nov. 23 and noon Nov. 25, a vandal struck an unattended black 2016 Mazda CX-5 parked in the 4000 block of Stanford Avenue.

Between 7 and 7:20 p.m., a thief stole a $200 leather third row seat from a black 2011 GMC Yukon in the 3800 block of Villanova Drive.

At 10:15 p.m., Gary Wessel Hurst, 64, of Dallas, was arrested in the 3000 block of Westminster Avenue on a charge of public intoxication.

After 10 p.m. Nov. 25, a thief stole a third row seat valued at $1,500 from a silver 2014 GMC Yukon Denali in the 3500 block of Wentwood Drive.

26 SATURDAY
Between 1:20 and 9:20 a.m., a thief stole a third row seat valued at $800 from a gray 2008 GMC Yukon in the 3400 block of Wentwood Drive.

27 SUNDAY
Between 5 p.m. Nov. 26 and 11 a.m. Nov. 27, a burglar broke into a black 2011 GMC Yukon in the 4100 block of Caruth Boulevard and stole a third row seat valued at $1,500.

Between 2 p.m. Nov. 22 and 8:09 p.m. Nov. 27, a burglar broke into a townhouse in the 6600 block of Airline Road, causing $500 in damage, and rummaged through the victim’s property.

At 11:25 p.m., Austin Ludmer, 20, of University Park, was arrested in the 4500 block of Emerson Avenue on a charge of possession of a dangerous drug. After pulling him over for a traffic violation, officers found prescription drugs that didn’t belong to him.
