MD Anderson to Recognize Living Legend

Dr. Kenneth Cooper, founder of the Cooper Institute on Preston Road, will be recognized during MD Anderson’s A Conversation With a Living Legend fundraiser Sept. 28 at the Hilton Anatole. Jeanne Phillips, former representative to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development during the George W. Bush administration, will interview him.

Cooper has been an advocate of exercise and preventative medicine for nearly five decades. His 1968 book Aerobics helped promote an international fitness movement. Today he oversees seven health and wellness companies.

The Living Legend program has raised more than $15.5 million for MD Anderson in the Dallas-Forth Worth area since 1990.
