Five Hockaday Athletes Commit to Playing Chosen Sports in College
Five seniors at the Hockaday School have confirmed their commitments to play their chosen sports in college this fall.
As Hockaday’s athletes are discovering their true talents, school officials say more students are committing to play sports during college, adding that the school is tremendously proud of their achievements and commitment to athletics over the years.
The five seniors who confirmed their commitments to play their chosen sport this fall include:
Elizabeth Benedict
Lizzie Benedict enrolled at Hockaday in the seventh grade. She has been a member of the Hockaday field hockey and lacrosse programs and participates in club lacrosse. She will attend the University of North Carolina to play lacrosse.
Emily Fuller
Emily is a four-sport Varsity athlete, having contributed to our Varsity Cross Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, and Lacrosse teams since ninth grade. She’s served as a starting soccer goalie every year and won the North Texas District Lacrosse Championship in 2017. Emily will play lacrosse at Bowdoin College.
Anna Glasgow
Anna Glasgow is a “lifer” at Hockaday, having joined our community in prekindergarten. While in upper school, she joined the Founders Rowing Club, trying a new sport that eventually led her to be recognized as one of the top U19 female rowers in the country. Last summer, Anna was invited to attend the Youth National Selection Camp where she then advanced to the CanAmMex Regatta. While there, Anna placed first in the women’s doubles and second in the women’s quad. Anna will attend Dartmouth College in the fall.
Sophie Isom
Sophie Isom has earned 11 letters between volleyball, swimming, and track. Sophie is the school record holder in four track events, including the 400 meters, and was team MVP in 2017. In addition, she is the varsity captain for the volleyball and swimming teams. This fall, Sophie will attend Yale University.
Trinity Thomas
Trinity Thomas enrolled at Hockaday in 2008. She has participated in varsity soccer and is a member of the FC Dallas U-23 Women’s Premier Soccer League team. She has served as an Olympic Development Program coach for younger players. Trinity will attend Harvard University and will play soccer this fall.
