HP High School Closed

The Highland Park High School campus will be closed today due to a mechanical malfunction.

The high school’s heating system is not functioning causing the building to be too cold to hold classes.

School officials say utility crews worked throughout the evening on Wednesday to try to restore heat to the building but were unsuccessful. They will work to repair issues throughout the morning.

Classes will be held on schedule at all other HPISD campuses.

High school coaches and sponsors will be in contact with their respective players and students regarding whether practices will be held.
