Superstar Highland Park High School alum Clayton Kershaw won’t be pitching for the visitors, but he will be in attendance on Tuesday for Highland Park ISD night at the Texas Rangers game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The game is one of several that the Rangers feature each year to honor area school districts, although the Cy Young Award-winning lefty won’t pitch until Wednesday, when the same two teams meet in L.A.

Still, there are several reasons to attend, including discounted tickets for district families and employees, the HPHS choir singing the national anthem, the debut of a promotional video for the district created by HPISD communications intern Brian Smith, and HPHS baseball player Alec Doederlein throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. So get there early!
