Lauren Stevenson and Alexander Borgan weddingLauren Cathleen Stevenson and Alexander Tyson Borgan exchanged wedding vows Sept. 24 in the Ellis Chapel at Park Cities Baptist Church. The ceremony was officiated by Dale Pond, uncle of the groom. A reception of dining and dancing followed in the Skyline Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel Campbell Centre.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Alexander Stevenson of University Park. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Chandler and the late Patricia Chandler, all of Topeka, Kans.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellick Stevenson of Hobbs, N.M.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gillett of Midland, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Marc Borgan of Traverse City, Mich. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Borgan of Rice Lake, Wis., and Mrs. Ruth Pond and the late Mr. Almon Pond of Midland, Texas.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her father walked her down the aisle. Attending as maid of honor was Grace Kaemmerling Woodall, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids included Margaret Alden Nimmo, college friend of the bride, Shannon Miller Stevenson, sister-in-law of the bride, Elizabeth Eileen Miller, cousin of the bride, and Amy Borgan Scott, sister of the groom.

The best men were Aaron John Borgan and Andrew David Borgan, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen included David Alexander Stevenson, brother of the bride, Daniel Chandler Stevenson, brother of the bride, and Ryan Kirk Woodall, friend of the bride and groom.

The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Arizona, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi, and received a Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where she was a Dean’s Scholar. She is an associate attorney at Touchstone, Bernays, Johnston, Beall, Smith, and Stollenwerck LLP.

The groom is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas. He is a graduate of the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He is a highway design engineer at AECOM Technology Corporation.

Following their honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera, the couple has made their home in Dallas.
