Saint Michael’s Pub Theology Features Hot Topics, Cold Beer

Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church is tackling two controversial subjects this month, all with a beer.

The Park Cities church will conclude it’s June Pub Theology meetings talking about Christians and Sex and Christians and Homosexuality.

The Monday night events will feature guest speakers as they engage in hot topics and cold beer – complete with Q&A. Pub Theology is open to all who want to explore faith, and not just for current Saint Michael parishioners. A thoughtful and honest discussion is the goal. And good beer.

  • On June 18, Rev. Greg Methvin, rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church – Frisco, TX, will speak on “Christians and Sex.” Greg previously served as vice rector of Church of the Incarnation in Uptown Dallas.
  • On June 25, Rev. Dr. George Mason, Senior Pastor of Wilshire Baptist Church, will speak on a topic that recently caused controversy within his Church, “Christians and Homosexuality.” Pastor George has led Wilshire Baptist Church since 1989.
