Whole Foods Ring Theft Suspect Implicated in Two Similar HP Cold Cases

Marty Nevil, the new community and media relations specialists at Highland Park, sent this along yesterday:

Whole Foods Suspect Charged In Two HP Cold-Case Robberies

In collaboration with the Dallas Police Department, Highland Park DPS was able to connect the suspect from the North Dallas Whole Foods Robbery to two unsolved cases that occurred in Highland Park.

On October 25, 2006 a Highland Park resident was the victim of an aggravated Robbery. The victim was attacked in her driveway, where her six carat diamond ring was taken. The victim sustained minimal injuries during the attack. The ring has not been recovered.

The second case was a Robbery committed on July 20, 2007. The victim in this offense was a Highland Park resident who was attacked in the driveway of her residence.  The suspect left the location without injuring the victim. In both cases, the victims described the suspect to have similar physical descriptors and behavior exhibited.  With the Whole Foods incident resulting in the same suspect similarities, Highland Park investigators began reviewing the cases.

On Thursday January 28, 2010, the two cold cases were re-opened. These cases were closed upon the arrest of Brian Maurice Fuller who was arrested in Wichita Falls on Tuesday February 9, 2010, by Dallas Police with the assistance of multiple agencies including Highland Park DPS.  Fuller is being charged with Aggravated Robbery by the Dallas Police Department. Subsequent to Fuller being arrested, Highland Park DPS charged him with Aggravated Robbery and Robbery.
