Re: Stay Dry, UP; Water Supply is Low

This just in from UP communications guru Steve Mace:

Power has been restored to the City’s booster pump station.  As a result, residents may now resume normal household water use.  The City has two water towers.  Both facilities now have a more than adequate supply of water and pressure to meet daily demands.  Residents were quick to comply with the earlier directive from the City to curtail all but essential water use.

Many homes in University Park remain without power.  Service may not be restored for at least 24 hours.  Additionally, as the snow continues to melt, tree limbs unburdened by the weight of heavy snow will snap back into position, hitting more power lines, which means restoration could stretch well into the weekend.  University Park residents without power should consider seeking shelter with relatives or at an alternate location until Oncor can complete repairs.
